Designed images, objects, environments and experiences shape our culture. The College also offers an Advertising Design minor. Graphic design is a powerful form of communication. Graphic Design majors create and learn in the state-of-the-art Brown Center, which was built specifically for design and time-based media programs. The other area of emphasis is Illustration.

As one of two areas of emphasis offered in the Communication Arts program, Graphic Design challenges students to research, develop, and refine projects that combine image-making and typographic form in order to communicate visually in meaningful ways across a wide variety of media.
