After you pull out bed in the living room area, then there is no space left to walk around. It will be hard to fit more than 1 person in the kitchen or bathroom. As soon as I opened my room I was shocked how little this place was. Rooms: Rooms are very tiny compare to the pictures you will see on the website for the money they are charging. You be better off to buy your own groceries and make your own breakfast. Please don’t pick this place because of breakfast, it’s not worth it and say the least the taste of the food just average. On the picture you see 3 huge pancakes, well you will get 2 small pancakes and you will see two huge waffles but you will get one round baseball size waffle on the plate. As far as pastries: one day it was baked dry yellow cake (who eats that for breakfast?) one day they had burned, hard crispy blueberry biscuits one day mini donuts. Each day you get either pineapple slices or watermelon. On the picture you see all kind of fruits and pastries. On my second day of breakfast I asked for sausage and apparently they were serving bacon, the woman got out of her serving station and started yelling at me that they don’t have sausage pointing at the board that had menu written for that day. One day you get bacon 2 pieces one day sausage. Every morning you get scrambled eggs, potatoes and meat usually changes. The lines are huge because you can’t serve yourself and they have a sign stating one plate per guest. First of all the food is being served to you in portion sizes by rude staff. All the food are pictured you do not get it in one day. Breakfast: Pictures of the breakfast you see on their website are deceiving. I have compact car and there were few times, where my car and walls were inches apart leaving the garage. Garage: if you have a big vehicle park outside or you will have hard time getting in and out of this garage. I happened to see GM by accident and he basically told me “since we are not hotel, we are limited on what we can do.” So take a note this is not a hotel, each unit is owned by individuals therefore Monterey Bay Suites belong to homeowner association and if you get any concerns or problems during their stay well good luck with that just remember they are limited on what they can do. On Monday 7/31 I was told by front desk manager Gina “he was gone for today” and it was only 1 pm. I was told since he has people working and do things for him there is no reason why I should need to talk to him. I requested to speak with General Manager on Saturday and he never called me back. Dealing with management was not pleasant: rude, they don’t return your phone calls like they said they would. Our luggage/clothes were steamed by Pest Control Company. Pest Control was called in and treated the room and we were moved to another room. Front desk manager Gina was notified, who refused to come to the room stating she is the only one working and can’t leave the desk. As many bites as I got, I am pretty sure there were more bed bugs. After checking my bed, found one adult size bed bug and two small dead ones. After staying there two nights, noticed multiple bites on both of my upper arms. I happened to see GM by accident and he basically told me “since we are not hotel, we are limited on what we can do.” So take a note this is not a hotel, each unit is owned.
